2. Scope of Services
Clarion Mesk provides residential electrical services within Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Our current service offerings are described on the Solutions page of our website and may be updated from time to time.
All services are conducted by ST-registered electricians in accordance with Malaysian electrical regulations, including MS IEC 60364 (Wiring Regulations) and relevant requirements of the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
We reserve the right to decline, limit, or discontinue any service at our reasonable discretion, including where site conditions are assessed to present safety concerns that fall outside the scope of work agreed.
3. Quotations & Pricing
Prices listed on our website represent standard service rates and are published in both Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and US Dollar (USD) for reference. USD amounts are indicative conversions and are not binding. All invoices are issued and payable in Malaysian Ringgit.
Published prices are subject to change without prior notice. The rate applicable to your engagement is the rate confirmed at the time of booking.
For Fitting & Fixture Installation, final pricing depends on scope, materials, and site conditions. A written quotation will be provided before work commences; no chargeable work will begin without your written or verbal confirmation of the quoted amount.
Any work identified during a visit that falls outside the agreed scope will be discussed with you before proceeding. Additional charges, if applicable, will be confirmed in advance.
4. Bookings & Scheduling
Bookings are made by contacting Clarion Mesk via telephone or the enquiry form on our website. A booking is confirmed when we provide written or verbal confirmation of the appointment date, time, and service type.
We will make reasonable efforts to attend appointments at the agreed time. In the event of unforeseen delays, we will notify you as early as practicable. We accept no liability for losses arising from minor scheduling adjustments.
Bookings are subject to technician availability. We do not offer same-day scheduling as a standard service offering.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the service visit unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the visit.
We accept the following payment methods: bank transfer (FPX / IBG), cash, and e-wallet payments as listed at the time of engagement. Credit and debit card acceptance may vary; please enquire when booking.
For larger or multi-stage engagements, a deposit of up to 30% of the quoted amount may be requested before work commences. Deposit terms will be stated in the written quotation.
Invoices not settled within 14 days of issue may be subject to a late payment fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, in accordance with Malaysian commercial practice.
6. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to carry out services effectively, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the property and the nature of work required at the time of booking
- Ensure safe and clear access to all areas where work is to be conducted, including the electrical distribution board, meter box, and relevant rooms
- Ensure that an adult (18 years or over) is present at the property throughout the visit
- Inform us of any known hazards, pre-existing conditions, or prior electrical work that may affect the visit
- Secure pets in a separate area where requested for safety reasons
- Obtain any necessary strata or landlord consents before work commences, where applicable
We reserve the right to decline or suspend work if site conditions are found to be unsafe, if accurate information has not been provided, or if access is not reasonably available. In such circumstances, a visit fee may apply to cover the technician's time and travel.
7. Workmanship & Standards
All work is conducted to a professional standard by ST-registered electricians using appropriate materials and methods. We comply with applicable Malaysian electrical codes and regulations.
Written summaries are provided following Home Electrical Assessment and Distribution Board Service visits. These summaries describe findings and completed actions; they are provided for your reference and do not constitute a formal compliance certificate unless explicitly stated.
Where client-supplied fittings or materials are used, Clarion Mesk accepts responsibility for the quality of workmanship but not for the quality, compatibility, or durability of the supplied items themselves. We recommend discussing specifications before purchase where there is any uncertainty.
Any concerns regarding workmanship should be raised with us promptly. We will attend to legitimate workmanship-related issues within a reasonable period. Workmanship queries raised more than 90 days after the service visit may be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
8. Limitation of Liability
Clarion Mesk carries professional liability insurance appropriate to residential electrical services in Malaysia.
Our liability in connection with any service is limited to the amount paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of earnings, loss of use, or damage to property unrelated to the work conducted, except where required by Malaysian law.
We are not liable for damage arising from pre-existing defects, client-supplied materials, or conditions beyond our control, including hidden building fabric conditions that could not reasonably have been identified before commencement of work.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud resulting from our negligence.
9. Cancellations & Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a booking without charge by providing at least 48 hours' notice before the scheduled visit time.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend without notice, may result in a cancellation fee to cover the technician's allocated time and travel. This fee will not exceed RM 120 for standard residential visits.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking in circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, or regulatory requirements. We will notify you promptly and arrange an alternative appointment at no additional charge.
